Stack Signs & Leader Boards
Plot identification and directional signage for residential developments — stack signs, leader boards, and development entrance boards.
Stack signs and leader boards are the directional and identification signage that helps visitors, contractors, and buyers navigate residential developments. Stack signs identify individual plots, while leader boards direct traffic to phases, plot ranges, or key locations within the site.
What Stack Signs and Leader Boards Include
Stack signs are placed at plot entrances to identify the plot number, house type, or phase. Leader boards are larger directional signs placed at junctions and site entrances, guiding visitors to specific plot ranges, sales areas, or show homes.
We also produce development entrance boards, phase signage, and key worker directional signs — all fabricated to withstand outdoor site conditions for the duration of the build programme.
Materials and Construction
Stack signs are typically produced on rigid PVC or aluminium for outdoor durability, with printed graphics using UV-stable inks. Leader boards use larger substrates — often Dibond or aluminium composite — with timber or metal stakes for ground mounting.
All fabrication happens in-house at our Weston-super-Mare production facility, which means we can accommodate artwork changes and additional plot signs quickly as the development progresses.
Our Process
We work from your plot schedule and site plan to produce a sign schedule covering every stack sign, leader board, and directional sign on the development. After approval, we fabricate, deliver, and install — or you can self-install if preferred.
For multi-phase developments, we produce signage in batches aligned to your build programme, so signs are ready when each phase goes live.
What Affects the Cost
Several factors influence the final price of a signage project. We provide detailed quotations after understanding your specific requirements — every project is quoted individually.
Number of Plots
The total number of stack signs needed is driven by the number of plots on the development. Larger developments need more signs.
Sign Type
Stack signs cost less than leader boards or development entrance boards, which are larger and use heavier substrates.
Substrate Material
Rigid PVC is the most economical. Aluminium and Dibond cost more but offer greater durability for long construction programmes.
Mounting Hardware
Stakes, posts, and frames for ground-mounted signs add to the cost. The mounting method depends on ground conditions and sign size.
Artwork Variations
Multiple house types, phases, or plot ranges require more artwork setup than a uniform sign design.
Delivery & Installation
UK-wide delivery from our Weston-super-Mare facility. On-site installation is available, or you can self-install to save on labour costs.
